You’ve found the Canmore wedding photographer who’s giving you…

Permission to say “screw it” and do your own thing.

I’m Shannon,

The only Alberta photographer who  loves lake days, chickens, and open-fire dinners even more than you do.

Behind the camera, I’m…

  • All about freedom, simplicity, and dreamy landscapes

  • A BC girl (born and raised) who isn’t afraid to get a little dusty for the perfect shot.

  • An advocate of throwing out the rulebook and going with the flow

  • Always ready to roll with unexpected weather, last-minute changes, and non-traditional timelines

  • Your bubbly, adventure-seeking hype girl

But the story behind my photos?

  • Stay-at-home mother to the raddest little guy ever (and 25 of my fluffy butt chickens)

  • Still married to my high school sweetheart, who I’ve known since I was 14

  • Relentless homesteader who’s always learning how to make a new kitchen staple from scratch

  • Someone who dabbles in a little TV binge every now and then (where are my Bachelor, Yellowstone, & Bridgerton girls at?)

  • A certified Earl Grey tea FREAK.

To be honest,

I get your backroads romance because my journey here has been a little off-road, too…

Becoming a wedding photographer was never on my bingo card. I was sure that my path involved some combination of homesteading, stay-at-home-mom-ing, and herbalism.

But that all changed once my son was born. I could not stop obsessing over the perfect shot. It got to the point where I maxed out the storage on my phone with photos. So eventually, my friends gifted me a big-girl camera.

Then, one day, me and said camera ended up at a wedding photoshoot. I decided to practice my photography chops by documenting the couple. A few hours later I was hooked

Capturing those moments between two people about to commit to a shared story together?

That’s why we’re here.

That’s what aaall this *gestures around* is about. The real, raw, unfiltered vulnerability of letting another person truly see you.

But hey, I say the winding path I’ve taken to get here is worth it because I get to help adventurous lovers like you catch your unfiltered love on camera. As your Canmore wedding photographer, I’m here to make sure your elopement photoshoot feels as laid back as a slow Sunday morning with your sweetie.

A newlywed couple sitting on the open back of a black pickup truck, sharing a kiss and embrace on a dirt road surrounded by autumn trees. "Just Married" is written on the truck's rear window.

I’ll be the first to say, “let’s ditch the Pinterest-perfect moodboards and keep it real”.

I don’t believe in contorting myself to look like some polished, idealistic version of myself that doesn’t (and won’t ever) exist.

And I’m willing to bet you feel the same way.

Shooting with me means shedding ALL the expectations of what a wedding shoot “should” look like. Together, we’ll focus on what matters to you and leave all the other crap behind.

You in?

Vendor Recs

As a seasoned Canmore wedding photographer, I come bearing all the vendor recommendations you could ask for.

I’m here for the couples whose idea of romance is ripping dirt bikes together.

The laid-back lovers who hop in their 4x4 on a sunny Saturday morning to hit their favourite campsite.

The down-to-earth duo who feel more at home in the bush than in front of the camera in a stuffy photo studio.

The physical labourers whose idea of a relaxing evening is cracking beers (and jokes) under the moonlight with a few close friends.

I’ve got good news—your wedding photos can be as chill and awesome as your weekends, just with a little more sparkle and emotion.
